Mathematics
The new math curriculum is designed to give students the power to solve problems by learning how to make math work in real life situations. In our daily study of mathematics, our class will use manipulatives, cooperative learning activities, problem finding, problem defining, problem solving, and calculators (where appropriate). Students will be expected to write about and discuss mathematics so that they can develop a strong mathematical vocabulary, which has sound conceptual basis.
